Budgeting. Taxes. Investment. Retirement Planning. Why should this list of terms matter to you? It’s simple. These financial areas are the backbone of your future. A future full of unknowns where the course of your life can change in an instant, whether by an unforeseen event or simply due to a lack of financial knowledge. Led by experienced financial advisor Carrie Wilson, Financial Literacy for Women is a discussion-based course that will provide you with the necessary tools to manage your finances and strive towards a life of financial well-being. OLLI advisory board member Ann Henry who previously took this class mentioned that she sees “far too many women who are married and don’t know anything about their finances. So it’s a good thing to review basics and get people to get together the information they need and learn how to go about making sure they have a plan”. Though this class is tailored towards women, these tools are also applicable to men and men are encouraged to attend either alone or with their spouse.
