Get to know your Samsung Galaxy! This is a basic introduction for your phone. This class will teach you how to set up your e-mail, download pictures to your computer, use your maps app, how to download apps to your phone, and other basic functions. You will learn how to skillfully maneuver through the basic functions of your personal Samsung Galaxy phone. This class will not cover how to use your phone in a business setting. (Cost includes instructor compensation & colored handouts.)

Do you have a new Kindle but do not know how to download the books from the library or even that you can “borrow” an eBook? If you have never done this before, then this is the class for you. Learn how to store and edit photos using free software from the Internet. This class will introduce you to Picasa 3.9 Digital Photo Editing Software (for Windows). Learn how to use this free Google application to organize, edit and share your digital photos with friends and family. Students will learn how to install Picasa, search for photos, organize photos into folders, import photos from digital cameras, edit photos, create slideshows and upload photos to the Web. (Cost includes instructor compensation, handouts, notepads, & parking fees.)

Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 is a powerful application that allows you to create and share graphics and rich presentations with family and friends. In this 3 hour hands-on class, you will learn the basic functions and features of PowerPoint such as creating a slide show, running a slide show, saving and rearranging your presentations, formatting text, creating drawing objects, and inserting graphics. Beginning iPad users will get acquainted with iPad features and apps, see how to play music, download apps, browse the Web, e-mail, and use your iPad for all of your basic needs. The focus of this class will be on the iPad’s that have the iOS 6 software update. In this course, you will learn about the core features and functions of Windows 7. Come and learn how to use the Start menu and taskbar; move and resize windows; create and manage files, folders, and libraries; edit file metadata; and search for content on your computer. Create shortcuts, use gadgets, and change system settings as well as browse the Web with Internet Explorer 8, add sites to your Favorites lists, and add RSS feeds.
