Join us as we explore Crystal Bridges at the Massey’s featured exhibition, Wendell Minor: In the American Tradition and discuss the idea of our great American landscape – from the vast wheat fields of the Heartland to the swampy Florida Everglades to the icy Arctic terrain. The 22 of Minor’s children’s books on view beautifully details his passion for preserving the environment, American history, and the delicate art of observation. The Botanical Garden of the Ozarks demonstrates various plantings like the 4 Seasons Garden, Sensory Garden etc. The gardens also show what will work in our own backyards. September in Eureka is lovely come and join us for a one of a kind Visual Art Tour . Did you realize that Eureka Springs is now listed in the top 10 Art Colonies in the USA. It is the home of over 200 resident artist and 30 galleries.
See Eureka differently as we step into private artist studios and homes. Your tour guide has many hats but her best one is showing off Eureka Springs ART and ARTIST to visitors. Come ready to be amazed at what this small Victorian artist has to offer. Lunch will be on your own in downtown. City maps, restaurants suggestions in the downtown will be provided.

Color! Color influences our daily life with feelings of delight and repugnance; calmness and energy; hunger and satiety. Join us as we explore Crystal Bridges at the Massey’s featured exhibition, Josef Albers- Formulation: Articulation and discuss Albers’ art, research, and color studies, The Interaction of Color, that have had such an impact on the art and art education of our times. The purpose of his color studies was to prove that color is the most relative medium in art, and that we almost never perceive what color is physically. Albers compelled his students to learn to see again and to question their vision. The 66 silk-screen prints on view from his life-time oeuvre will be the impetus for our discovery discussion.
