The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Arkansas has partnered with Butterfield Trail Village to offer a special lecture entitled, Trump: Politics of the Moment.
John Brummett, forty-two year veteran journalist, popular political analyst, and syndicated columnist, will speak on the current status of the national political scene. Mr. Brummett will take aim on the target rich political environment that is the Trump Presidency. The lecture will take place in front of a packed room at the newly constructed, state of the art, performance hall. This lecture is the third of five OLLI programs scheduled to take place at Butterfield Trail Village this fall.

Other programs include The Basics of Making Soft Sculpture Dolls, taught by BTV resident, Linda Haynes. This hands on course will guide students through the process of making a great heirloom gift for their child or grandchild. Dr. Art Hobson is facilitating a course for non-scientist on the topic of Quantum Physics. This course is based on Dr. Hobson’s book, Tales of the Quantum, which breaks down humankind’s most fundamental and far reaching scientific theory.
Staff members of the Washington Regional Medical Center are also facilitiating two programs at BTV this fall. One covering the topic of Dementia which will teach students how to identify signs and how to assist those with the disease. Additionally, in November, a course will be held on confronting loss in life and the grieving process that is associated to loss.
These are just a few of the many programs offered by OLLI. Both organziatoins are excited to be partnering this fall and look forward to offering programs in the future.
