Social Activities & Special Interest Groups

Monthly Social Activities
There is much fun to be had in the classroom, but it’s important to have fun and connect with one another
beyond the classroom. Our social committee hosts several events throughout the year that build camaraderie and community among our members. Social events are open to anyone who would like to attend but an RSVP is requested. Event dates, times and locations are shared on our website and in weekly e-newsletters.

Lunch with Authors and Others: Each month an author or other interesting speaker will give a short program followed by conversation at enriching, informative and convivial luncheons. This Dutch-treat lunch is held the third Thursday of each month. RSVP Here!
Social Hour: Connect with new and old friends at our fun filled social gatherings! Typically held the fourth Thursday of each month, these outings provide fun and unique experiences. Whether it’s working with a group to escape a haunted manor or a spring evening at a winery, you are sure to have a great time! RSVP Here!
Movies and Dessert: Each month we gather for a movie screening and enjoy desserts. Movies are themed with the month and a discussion on the film is offered afterwards. Held the third Friday of each month in the large classroom at OLLI Headquarters. RSVP Here!

Group members, on a volunteer basis, choose, present, and facilitate discussion on topics of local, state, national and foreign interest.
Current Events Discussion Group: What’s the news of today? This SIG meets to discuss interesting, controversial, newsworthy and fun topics that are streaming the headlines.
