Ways to Support OLLI
Private gifts support every aspect of operations of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Arkansas as we work to create an intellectually stimulating and socially invigorating learning environment.
Gifts to support OLLI are tax-deductible and help sustain the institute’s ability to offer affordable, lifelong learning opportunities for adults. Every gift, no matter the size, is an investment in OLLI and helps us continue building innovative and vibrant programs.
Private gifts are essential because membership dues and course fees cover only a portion of the annual budget. These contributions help bridge the funding gap and ensure that OLLI can continue to offer high-quality programs, engaging instructors, and enriching experiences for lifelong learners.

Outright Gifts
Outright gifts are one of the simplest and most effective ways to support OLLI, as they have an immediate impact on programs, operations, and initiatives. Outright gifts are tax-deductible and are used for the purposes specified by the donor. Outright gifts provide immediate support and can be made in various forms, including:
- Cash or Check – Gifts of checks can be made payable to OLLI – U of A, with OLLI Gift Fund in the memo line and directed to the attention of: Osher Lifelong Learning Institute

You will be directed to the U of A’s online giving site, where you can select the OLLI Giving Fund as your gift designation. An added benefit is choosing an automatic draft on your account by checking the box “Make this a monthly gift.”
Planned Gifts
For many of us, there is a compelling need to make a difference — to leave a lasting impact on the world in which we live. A planned gift provides an opportunity for you to integrate a charitable gift to OLLI into your overall financial, tax and estate plan. Please refer to the U of A’s Planned Giving office to determine which planned giving vehicles may be best for you. The office’s phone number is 479-575-7271.
Matching Gifts
Even if you’re retired, you may be able to double or triple your gift (and membership dues) to OLLI through your former company’s Matching Gift Program at no cost to you. Search the online database at the U of A’s Matching Gift Program to see if your employer is listed among the participating companies. Corporate matching gift programs can be utilized to garner increased philanthropic support for a cause you care about.
