Fall is finally here and with it comes a crisp in the air and the beginnings of a colorful transition. Join the OLLI social committee the fourth Thursday of each month for wine and cocktails. This month enjoy the fall season and come sit outside on one of the many, pumpkin lined decks at Sassafras Springs Vineyard.
Great House Wines, Beer and Non-Alcoholic Drinks. Free parking. PLUS, create your own cheese board. Meat, cheese, and bread delivered from local artisans. Enhance your cheese board with nuts, olives, raisins, honey, and crackers.

This month the Village Writing School will be visiting the regular third Thursday monthly luncheon at Bordino’s restaraunt and wine bar. Director of the Village Writing School, Alison Taylor-Brown, will discuss the mission of VWS while writers, Alice French & Greg Sherar will talk about how writing helps us to heal and connect. Nonfiction Book Club
Meets the 1st Tuesday of every month at Rolling Hills Baptist Church. Next meeting is scheduled for Oct. 4th.
The book for October is “The Worst Hard Time” by Timothy Egan.
Book for November’s meeting (Nov. 1st) is: “Gertrude Bell: The Desert Queen” by Janet Wallach
